Central Valley Matters’ Vetted Groups for Spring 2024


The Community Water Center Action Fund calls Rudy Salas one of their water heroes.

Community Water Center Action Fund/Community Water Center (Tulare County-24% of CD 22 registered voters) Targeting voters in small rural communities of color, the Action Fund does partisan canvassing, phone banking, texting and social media posts with information about Rudy and other endorsed candidates. The Action Fund plans to call 20,000 voters and reach 5,000 voters through door-knocking.

Rain or shine, summer, fall, winter or spring, DHF and DHAF are out there educating voters.

Dolores Huerta Action Fund/Dolores Huerta Foundation (Kern County-66% of CD 22 registered voters) Focusing on densely populated Southeast and Southwest Bakersfield, DHAF will begin its full scale “get out the vote” efforts in September, with the goal of contacting 40,000 voters and identifying approximately 28,000 supporters for Rudy Salas. DHAF is currently recruiting community members to have “one-on-one” conversations with their neighbors.

Loud for Tomorrow Action Fund focuses on youth voters in Kern county.

Loud for Tomorrow Action Fund/Loud for Tomorrow (Kern County-66% of CD 22 registered voters) A grassroots youth-led organization, Loud for Tomorrow Action Fund focuses on getting young people involved by registering them to vote, educating them about voting, canvassing, mailing out voter guides, phone banking, texting, and holding community events targeting young voters. Their goal is to contact 35,000 voters in northern Kern County.
