Stand up for democracy in CD-22

Please join Central Valley Matters on Tuesday Sept. 8 at 5:30 pm PDT to pave the way to a new Congress that will stand up for democracy. We can do that by funding the local grassroots groups organizing in a key Central Valley community, Congressional District 22 (CD-22). These groups are going all-out to boost voter turnout in the November election that will send a CD-22 candidate to Congress.

We are focused on three groups: Huerta Democracy PAC, United for Water Justice (sponsored by Community Water Action Fund), and Votar es Poder PAC. They can scale up their canvasser teams if we all step up and dig a little deeper.  How much does this cost?

  • $120 = one canvasser for one day of canvassing

  • $600 = one canvasser for one week of canvassing

  • $2400 = one canvasser for one month of canvassing

  • $6000 = one canvasser until Nov. 3 Election Day

This online fundraiser will fund three groups in CD-22, the Central Valley district that includes Fresno, Kings, Tulare and Kern counties. Each of them, vetted by CVM, is dedicated to social justice issues that enable them to boost voter turnout in time for the November elections this fall. This work takes more than a village, it takes a valley.
