U.S. Rep. Ro Khanna, the Democrat who represents the Bay Area’s 17th Congressional District, went to CD22 on Sunday, March 23, to rally and energize people to fight, fight, fight Medi-Cal cuts. He chose to hold a town hall in only CD22, because 67% of the population (the largest proportion among the Central Valley districts) will be impacted by Medi-Cal cuts. With cuts to federal food programs and Social Security (Elon Musk called it a “Ponzi scheme”), people will mobilize to vote in 2026 to protect themselves and their families. Khanna understands the importance of this district.
