Jane Fonda and Dolores Huerta Share Why the Central Valley Matters

Join us Thursday, April 25th at 5 PM for our sixth fundraiser to support CVM’s grassroots groups! Come meet our powerhouse activists in the Central Valley’s underserved communities.

Our featured guest speakers, Dolores Huerta, and Jane Fonda, will discuss “Why the Central Valley Matters” and how “great social justice changes in our country happen when people come together, organize, and take direct action.”

“Now is the time to empower communities, ordinary people, with the tools they need to build a more equitable, democratic, and just society.” — Dolores Huerta

Dolores Huerta continues to work tirelessly: developing leaders and advocating for the working poor, women, and children. As founder and president of the Dolores Huerta Foundation and recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, she speaks about issues of social justice and public policy.

Make it stand out

"We're at a CRITICAL moment - we have an election coming AT A TIME WHEN WE’RE FACING AN INCOME INEQUALITY CRISIS, A CLIMATE CRISIS, A CRISIS OF RACISM, AND DEMOCRACY IS UNDER ATTACK.  WE have a choice to make. We can keep seeing all these things happen, or we can do something about it." — Jane Fonda

Jane Fonda is an American actress and activist who currently works to promote climate action. Recognized as a film icon, Fonda has received various accolades, including two Academy Awards, two British Academy Film Arts Awards, and seven Golden Globes.
