Every Day Counts for the Central Valley

Every day counts now to boost voter turnout in California’s Central Valley in time for midterm elections this fall. Central Valley Matters (CVM) invites you to step up and help the grassroots groups that we have vetted for their work in this key region.

Community Water Center Action Fund (CWC Action Fund) is one of CVM’s sponsored groups. Their mission is to ensure access to clean, safe, and affordable water in small communities where toxic water pollution is widespread. They canvass neighborhoods, make phone calls, host house parties and send text messages to reach valley residents, including those who move often.

When CWC Action Fund engages people on their basic need for safe drinking water, they stop thinking in a “left-versus-right” political way and instead look for a candidate with a solution. CWC Action Fund can recommend candidates committed to clean water — and overall progressive change.

Here’s where your money goes:

  • $600 - one canvasser for one week. Goal - a 10-person team.

  • $2,500 - office space in Bakersfield, the largest city in the district.

  • $5,000 - a digital billboard ad on a major commuter highway for one month.

  • All donations matter - one time or recurring.
